What are the rules in chat, and how do I report a message?
Be civil, do not spam, and never promise wins. Report a message with the flag on it. Playbooki reviews reports and can remove messages and suspend accounts.
The rules
The Terms of Service apply to everything you write in a chat room or a game thread. In particular, do not:
- harass, threaten or insult people;
- spam, post advertising nobody asked for, or send the same thing again and again;
- promise or suggest that anyone will win, profit or get a guaranteed result;
- pretend to be someone else, a Booki or Playbooki;
- post pornographic, violent or unlawful content.
What a Booki or anyone else says in chat is their own opinion. It is not advice from Playbooki, and nothing in chat is a guarantee.
Report a message
- Point at the message, or tap it on a phone.
- Press the flag.
- Choose the reason.
The report goes to Playbooki, not to the person you reported. You cannot report your own message.
Block someone
When you block a person, you no longer see their messages in chat rooms and game threads.
What can happen
A Booki and their moderators can delete a message and mute or ban a member in their rooms: see How do moderators, mutes and bans work?. Playbooki can remove any message, mute or ban anyone in any room, and suspend or close an account.
