How do I open chat rooms for my page as a Booki?
Short answer
In Settings, open Messages & calls, then Chat rooms. Open your chat to get a General room for all members, then add rooms for all members or from a tier up.
Open your chat
- Open Settings, then Messages & calls, then Chat rooms.
- Press Open my chat rooms. You get a room called General, for all your members.
Chat is off for your page until you do this.
Add rooms
You can add up to 8 more rooms. For each one you choose:
- A name, and a short line saying what it is for.
- Who can take part: all your members, or one of your tiers and up.
- Slow mode: off, or one message per member every 5, 10 or 30 seconds, every minute or every 5 minutes. You and your moderators are not slowed.
- Photos: members can post photos in a room unless you switch that off for it. You and your moderators always can.
The General room is always for all your members and cannot be removed.
Close or remove a room
A closed room can still be read, but only you and your moderators can write in it. A removed room disappears for everyone; its messages are not shown again.
In the room
You can pin up to 20 messages, which stay at the top of the room, and delete any message.
