How do I set up referrals for my page as a Booki?

Short answer

In Settings, open Referrals. Choose the share you give and how many of a new subscriber’s first payments it covers, or switch referrals off. The share comes out of your part of those payments only.

Why offer it

Your fans already talk about you. With referrals, anyone who shares your page with their own link earns a share of each new subscriber they bring you. The more you give, the more reason they have to share.

Your setting

  1. Open Settings, then Referrals.
  2. Choose the share you give, from 0% to 50%.
  3. Choose how many of a new subscriber’s first membership payments it covers, from 1 to 10.
  4. Save. You can change it or switch referrals off at any time.

A new Booki starts with referrals on at 2% of the first 3 payments.

What it costs you

The share is a percentage of the membership price, and it comes out of your part of those first payments of that new subscriber. It never touches subscribers you already have, and after those payments you receive your full share again. For example, at 10% on a $30 membership, the person who brought the subscriber earns $3.00 on each covered payment, out of your part.

The share and the number of payments are fixed for a subscriber when they first subscribe. A change you make later applies only to people who subscribe afterwards.

A special rate for one person

You can give a chosen person their own share and number of payments, for example someone with a large audience. Everyone else keeps your general offer.

Refunds and disputes

If a referred payment is refunded or disputed, the referral share is taken back from the person who earned it. If it cannot be recovered from them within 60 days, you repay it. It is never more than the referral share of that one payment.
