What is a capper?
Short answer
A capper, short for handicapper, is someone who studies games and publishes picks: their predictions of which bets have value. Many cappers sell their picks to subscribers.
Handicapping is the work of studying matchups, form, injuries and prices to decide where a line is wrong. A capper shares the result as a pick, usually with how much confidence they have in it.
On Playbooki, cappers are Bookis: they publish picks for the members who subscribe to them. See What is a Booki? and How do I sell sports picks online?.
A good capper explains their reasoning and reports losses as well as wins. No capper can guarantee a result.
